Design Global Voices Stories for 2022
Design Global Voices main editorial product for 2022
You'll have to teleport yourself to 2022 and look at where technology and the media industry is going to do this exercise. You'll be asking yourself questions such as what will our stories look like in 5 years? Will our main product be the home page on our website? Or will it be distributed content on social media? Or will we be producing a human rights oriented and community driven news wire for news organizations around the world? Or a podcast on Public Radio International? What kinds of formats and perspectives do we need to focus on to stay relevant and competitive in the media industry? This group is about thinking big and boldly and designing the main editorial product you would like to see GV producing in 2022!

1. Interactive designs -- storytelling through podcasts, data story through voice for specially abled readers including visually challenged.
2. GV is uniquely positioned to be at the intersection of technology and news. For some of the initiatives to work, we need a mentorship program in which, GVers could train under some senior writers or editors probably.
3. Sourcing information: We may need to draw a list of websites and platforms that can be used as safe sources versus some fake news sites. I feel the fake news problem is only going to intensify in the next few years and GV should and MUST be at the forefront clarifying these through reports.
To counter digital revolution taking place and position itself well, GV needs to launch some innovate reporting projects on key sustainable goals or whatever issues that need global response.

The design obviously must change to be more interactive. Today is not the radio, nor a printeed newspape, nor the TV, nor a blog or page of internet. The trend is to interactivity and for this a hybrid that will allows us transcend the networks can be the most viable. GV should aim towards that objective of interactivity in 100%
